Teaching You To Think, Lead, and Write. #EmpoweredWomen
The Lipsticking Society is about the power of a woman’s voice. It’s about allowing women to bring their inner wayward woman, the one who is stubborn, determined, and focus on moving forward, to build strength, purpose, and poise in their communication efforts, at all levels out in the sunlight.
Our powerful community is here to support those strong, independent women who are ready to compete in a global marketplace! We offer a focus on finding and sharing the very tools and support these amazingly talented women need to amplify their voices locally, nationally, and globally. We are definitely empowering women in business and have been doing so for more than two decades.
Yvonne DiVita, Founder
Welcome to The Lipsticking Society. You’ll find women and men, here, who are striving for excellence in the work they do, the words they use, and the way they build relationships. To that end, as the Founder, I offer some insight into “me”.
I bring 20 years of work, education and study in the field of communication to The Lipsticking Society.
In my previous company, Windsor Media Enterprises, LLC (WME Books), I worked with business professionals coaching them as they composed their ideas into what we called “Book as Business Card”. I also worked with astonishingly talented women telling the stories of ‘them’, who they are beyond the business or public face. Over the years, I have returned to those stories, again and again, realizing the power they have to build relationships – better and more effectively than any business tagline or marketing speak. It proved to me that the power of a woman’s voice is needed in today’s business world.
While at WME, my husband, Tom and I, created the Business Blogging Boot Camp workshop to teach blogging and social media to local small business professionals. This, also, focused on excellence in communication, especially speaking and writing.
In 2009, we helped co-found a new venture with Caroline Golon called BlogPaws. This pet community was designed to support pet bloggers in their pursuit of excellence, using online tools and connections to the brands they buy every day. BlogPaws holds a yearly national conference with powerful keynote speakers, expert sessions, and a full exhibit hall. This growing pet blogger and lifestyle blogger community was so successful at bringing brands together with influencers, it was acquired by Pet360, Inc. which was, in turn, acquired by PetSmart.
After 8 years at BlogPaws, Tom and I both ‘retired’ to work together once more in the field of communications. Experience from those amazing years of BlogPaws, 8 national conferences, 5 years previously as a book coach and publisher, has contributed to my ultimate desire – to be returning to the world of business helping women raise their voices and achieve their goals.
